Love is in the air! Valentine’s Day is upon us so people are taking the opportunity to show someone they love what he or she really means to them. For some, that means giving flowers, chocolates, teddy bears, diamonds, extravagant dinners and more. But there are other ways to say “I love you” that are often overlooked.

Nothing says love like caring for someone’s health and well-being, and declaring “I love you so much that I want you to live a long and healthy life by my side.” You can find your biggest supporter and advocate in your friend or partner, so let’s all work together.

Research conducted by the Society of Behavioral Medicine studied the effects of training with a partner for cardio. Working out with a partner can double your performance and increase your motivation. So why don’t we do it more often? Let’s decide to partner up and get healthy together this year.

To help get started, below are five tips and resources to keep you and your partner healthy through the years.

1. Compete with your fitness trackers

As the craze for wearables increases, research has shown how successful fitness trackers are for motivating people to become more active. With wearables, you can set up challenges and compete with your loved ones to push them to be more active.

2. Hike together

This is a great an exciting opportunity to grab a friend, partner, or your entire family and and get some fresh air with each other. No matter your hiking level, there is a hike for you! From beginner to expert! So grab somebody close along with your hiking sneakers and take your relationship to new heights and new experiences. Interested in hiking but not sure how to get started? 3. Partner for Training
