At BCBSNC our top priority is to resolve the enrollment, billing and customer service problems that our customers have experienced since the beginning of the year. You can find out the latest on our efforts by visiting our updates page and seeing our frequently asked questions.

Here’s another important note specifically for people that have enrolled for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act exchange. If you enrolled between Dec. 18 and Jan. 15: Your coverage starts Feb. 1. You can expect to get your ID card in the mail about two weeks after making your initial payment.

We also realize that not everyone who wants coverage for 2016 has actually purchased a plan. The deadline for an ACA plan is the end of this month.

If you still want coverage, you can sign up by Jan. 31, and your coverage will begin March 1. To begin the process, check out your options for individual and family coverage and check our provider search tool to be sure the health plan you want includes the doctors and hospitals you need.
